Inspired by old-world Italian craft each pasta is shaped entirely by hand, reflecting a commitment to craft, provenance, and timeless technique. Grounded in tradition our pasta celebrates seasonality, and the quiet luxury of food made slowly and with intention.

Meet the Pastaiolo

Hello!

Hi there! I’m Chef Melissa, the hands and the heart of Mezzeluna Pasta Co. My love for pasta runs deep—like Sunday-morning, flour-on-every-surface deep. I grew up in a family of serious home cooks, waking up to fresh pasta drying all over the house and learning early that good food is worth the mess.

While living in Toronto I trained at the George Brown Culinary Program and specialize in Italian and French cuisine. Along the way, I cooked in some of Toronto’s top kitchens, including The Chase, Figo and Giulietta, and most recently served as Sous Chef at The Annex, where I made the restaurant’s fresh pasta entirely by hand—every sheet, fold, and pinch.


Born in Cape Breton, I’m proud to have found my way back home, bringing my love for handmade pasta with me. Mezzeluna Pasta Co. is where classical training meets lifelong noodle obsession: fresh, handmade pasta rooted in tradition, made with care, and meant to be shared.
